BTS makes their own cosmo at the Rose Bowl

The sky was twinkling brightly this weekend at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena with thousands of people watching the BTS concert. BTS started the Speak Yourself World tour on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 in California.

Just looking at the field outside of the venue, long winding lines of people will enter your view. Everyone is geared up with their ARMY light sticks  (ARMY bomb), BT21 headbands, and different variations of BTS shirts.

After passing the security, beautiful banners made by ARMY are given out along with scan cards that will take you to the Bighit shop to get 500 points and a special concert emblem after taking a survey. There are also food booths and merchandise booth in every corner of the stadium for those who need it. Bighit also had a couple of BTS Lightstick pairing booths where you can pair your ARMY BOMB and have it synced for the ARMY Light Ocean during concert.

There are three types of ticket for the concert: Floor, Standard, and Suite. The tickets were sold out and the stadium is full house filled with ARMY and even some famous celebrities like Khalid and Nick Jonas from the Jonas Brothers.

Starting at about 6:30, you will already hear the screaming of fans even if the performance is still not for another hour. Rather, they are just practicing for the real concert and also doing a bird's call to other ARMY to "hurry up and get to your seat, BTS will be here soon!". During this pre-concert party, people are also mingling with their friends, or if they came alone, they went and made some friends.
I for sure made a lot of friends. I went to my seat by myself and came out with five friends and fifty-seven confettis.

At 7:30 the white cloths floating on stage are taken off revealing a long white table, then guitar strings pop and BTS goes up on stage to perform Dionysus to get the audience hyped up. Everyone has their hands up in the air while bobbing their heads just like what some would do at home, performing in the shower.

The septet sang their solo songs from Love Yourself: Answer and added some of their new songs from the new album Map of the Soul: Persona.

*SPOILER* One of the most talked about parts of the concert is Jungkook flying over the audience while singing his solo song Euphoria. They also upgraded RM's Trivia: Love performance by adding holographic CGIs that ended with a blue heart on the first day and "Love you! LA"on the second. Jin's eccentric looking piano was also wildly talked about. ARMY were joking how it looks like"it may fly too" with it's odd shape.

There were also the loudest chant during Jhope's performance for Trivia: Just Dance, where the whole stadium became pink. Suga also had a treadmill on the stage to make it seems that he is walking down the city while singing Trivia: Seesaw. Jimin on the other hand entered the stage like a magical fairy in a literal giant bubble for Serendipity. While V performed his solo, Singularity, while laying down comfortably on a full size bed.

One of the most memorable performances is Anpanman where people were confused why there is a giant bouncy house on the secondary stage. It seemed that it was also the members' favorite performance as you can see their wide smiles on the camera as they are going down the slides.

Before you know it, everyone has a tear in their eye because Mikrokosmos started playing. The whole stadium felt like a galaxy with glimmering eyes of every ARMY along with the brightness of the phone flash lights and ARMY bombs. Both nights were cold, but the whole venue feels like a tight hug from the people you love. It does not feel lonely even if you came in alone.

That is why BTS concerts are special. The way you feel is surreal. It's like entering the door of a magic shop where everyone is welcome for who they are. The fun and exhilaration are there but BTS makes your soul feel full and regenerated.
