BTSxMattel: Aren't BTS just dolls?

To exactly no one's suprise, 2019 is BTS's year. With more and more recognition about their music, comes even more recognition as a brand. What better way than to give us dolls in BTS's likeness?

On January 6th, 2019 the toy company Mattel announced that they would be making BTS dolls. Not only dolls as it seems! According to a memo put out by Mattel:

"Mattel will create dolls, collectible figures, games, and more. In the wake of sold out tours across the globe, the collaboration launches this summer with a first-ever BTS-inspired toy line created around the likenesses of the band's seven members: RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook. The dolls will be fashioned in the looks from the BTS' iconic and YouTube record-breaking "IDOL" music video." (See follow up article section below for full article)

According to Mattel, the dolls will be made available worldwide at $19.99 (USD) per doll.
